At Åre Nature Studio, I – Fredrik – want to share what I enjoy most: food, hunting and fishing.
I began clearing the forest where Åre Nature Studio now stands in 2005. Many years have passed since then, and what started as a simple fly-fishing camp has grown into something much more.
Here, we are part of the natural cycle of the mountains, treating what the forests, mountains and lakes provide with respect. At Åre Nature Studio, you are invited to enjoy a unique experience in the heart of nature.

Hunting and fishing have always been an important part of Fredrik’s life. The tradition of making the most of what nature provides comes from his childhood by the Torne River. It was there that his interest in flavours and his respect for ingredients first began.
His career started in halfpipes around the world, but after putting his snowboard aside, he went on to study forest biology and train as a gunsmith.
When he’s not out in the forest or on the lake, you’ll find him in the kitchen.
